We had planned all along to buy a camp trailer, and after a couple months of hard looking, we got it done. We knew we wanted something big enough for everyone to comfortably be in, but not necessarily sleep in, so a slide-out was pretty much a requirement. We ended up with this 2007 Pioneer 26BHS (by Fleetwood).
It's got a queen up front, couch and table that are (smallish) beds, and two bunks in the rear. Not enough to sleep everyone, but a tent for a few of the older kids was always in the plan.
We're really happy with the floorplan, as it's very open inside, with LOTS of room to move around without having to squeeze around people.
We're planning to do as much travelling in it as we can (since it's really the only economical way to travel with the kids), so I'll do my best to keep this space updated with a log of our travels.
